(lygenztia *58) DRAMA. And this year, the Oscar goes to.....

Lord love a duck. Get a life.

I cannot beleive the drama that people broadcast to the world on Facebook.
Breakups, marital problems, issues with friends, problems with work, problems with school..it goes on and on and on.

The lengths some people will go to, to broadcast their personal affairs to the world is shocking. In reading some of the updates/status/posts, etc. it is clear to me that some people live for drama. Drama controls them, it dictates their every move. It's like they feed on it.

Lets face it (pardon the pun) Facebook is hardly a private way to socialize, but it also wasn't meant to be a billboard for all of a persons downturns and tough times.

For the drama junkies, it is largely attention seeking behaviour, even if it is from "cyber friends". Some will get on Facebook and lay out all their troubles for the world to see and then hope for an outpouring of support. It's like emotional fishing and the lure is the status update.

For example..."Mr. X is wondering how can I go on without her, after she left me for my neighbour?"

Gee, do you think he is looking for some support, or is he trying to tell us something, or is he venting?

Some people get on here and play this game of "drama poker". They see the "issues" and "drama" of others and decide to up the ante, by making theirs seem even worse.

For example:

"Your boyfriend left you for your best friend?"
"Well, that's nothing..my boyfriend left me for my mother!." (Hell, for that you should start a group.)

Facebook is fun...save the drama for Shakespeare. Even he knew the limits.
