I have never been what you would call a "fan" of the monarchy. For me, it just "is" and I never really paid much attention. The royal family always struck me as pompous, disconnected, overly ceremonious tight asses.

Wow, did Will and Kate ever change that impression. What an amazing couple. Unbeleivably touching how Kate showed such an outpouring of affection for the little girl (who sadly is ill) on the runway tarmac.

Folks, you just can't fake that kind of reaction or show of genuine concern and affection. It was as real as their visit and for both, I wish to send my thanks.

What is up with people wearing wool toques in the summer nowadays? Don't get me wrong, I think toques are awesome, I own about 20. AND, I am not talking about rastafarian hats, or religious hats. I mean plain old Great White North Canadian wool toques.

Did I miss the memo? I am pretty sure it's summer.

Is doing this a fashion statement? It's silly and gross, that's what it is..all sweaty and stinky and icky.

NEWSFLASH: It's hot out, you don't need to keep your head warm, which is what a wool toque was designed for. Not a fashion accessory. If you wear a toque in the summer months, you sure don't look cool and you sure as hell don't feel cool.

Try a visor, you might be surprised.......they are actually comfortable and don't make you look like a MAROON.
