Leadership is an interesting concept. The person that most wants to be a Leader, is generally speaking the worst choice to make the Leader. The group, through an informal and subconscious process, will always determine their Leader. Great Leaders are born, its a combination of confidence, charisma and compassion. True Leaders ponder important decisions and conversely, act decisively and quickly in times of need.

They also recognize their decisions will impact members of the group differently and take that into consideration when making decisions that affect the group.

The group may give a tacit approval of a Leader that is chosen for them, but they will always turn to the person they recognize as their Leader in times of need, or upheaval.

True Leaders do not seek the role. The group bestows it on them, each and every time.
