Lygenztia *666 (Privacy....) February 2, 2024
Blog number 666 and I am discussing privacy and the internet. Coincidence? I think not............
The privacy ship has sailed. Algorithms rule the day, like it or not.
If you own any kind of device and do not live off the grid far away in the woods, you have no privacy.
Buy off amazon, or online? They have a profile on you, which is amazingly accurate.
Own a cell phone? Same.
Own a TV? Same.
Own a car? Same.
If you own anything at all that needs internet to function, they know all about you.
I get a kick out of guys that think they beat the system by using a fake name, or birth date. Yes, brilliant. Internet data miners never thought of that, did they! Your I.P. is stronger than your own fingerprint, it could even be argued your I.P. is even more descriptive of you than your DNA.
Your browsing history can be used to create a profile on you. Oh, but you have selected the "privacy option" eh? Ya, read the terms and conditions and let me know how that worked out for you. You can subscibe to a VPN service, but even on that I am skeptical.
If you think you have privacy, you are a fool. You are not smarter than "them" and "they" because believe me "they" know everything about you.
Unless you live in a remote cabin with no electricity (except solar), have never owned any kind of device, do not have a bank account and have never filed a tax return, have no government issued I.D., have never been on the internet...you have lost your privacy and you ain't getting it back. The genie is out of the bottle.
